The word “crossover” has multiple meanings, outside its original intent–a point or place of crossing from one side to another. In music, they refer to something as a “crossover” when an artist or song blends various genres or crosses over to a genre the artist is not normally associated with.
In basketball, a “crossover” is a literal move that finds a player quickly switching the ball from one hand to the other to change direction and evade a defender. When it comes to writing, whether for print, television or film, a “crossover” is the placement of two or more characters, timelines or universes, into the context of a single story.
You get the point.
The Crossover Mag explores the intersection of business, entertainment, lifestyle, and culture–with the latter being the driving force and inspiration for our commentary and coverage.
Rappers who can ball? Basketball stars who are business savvy entrepreneurs? Entrepreneurs who are visual artists? Etc.
Deep-dive into the intersectionality of all things culturally relevant with the Maven, Maria Myraine.
