If you have lived in the Upper East Side for an appreciable period, then Green Kitchen should ring some bells. Locals have shared their stories dating as far back as the 1970s, but Green Kitchen has been around for nearly 100 years. Today, the eatery offers up nostalgic diner-style menu items in TWO UES locations.
Recently, I was able to get a reservation for two during the dinner rush at their 2nd Avenue and 70th Street location. As soon as we stepped in, we were met with warm smiles and a friendly greeting from the hostess that evening. She quickly showed us to our preferred table and had us seated. While they were busy, given the time of day, our waiter/server eventually came to take our orders!

Their dinner menu offered reasonably priced food items that ranged from salads, pasta dishes, and entrees with various protein options, including seafood!
