What to Expect
Walking into Ringram’s warm, industrial-chic workshop space, we were immediately put at ease by our instructor for the day.
The nearly two-hour workshop begins with an introduction to the brand and the basic techniques you’ll utilize during your session. Our instructor patiently demonstrated each step, talking us through the importance of the steps. Despite having zero prior experience with jewelry making, the process felt approachable thanks to the thoughtful instruction.
Hands-On Creation
The actual ring-making process is surprisingly tactile and engaging. We started by selecting our silver wire thickness and ring size. Then came the transformation – cutting the metal, carefully bending it into a circle, and soldering the ends together with a small torch. The hammering and shining/buffing afterward were also necessary steps.
The most personal aspect was the customization. My partner opted to hand-draw a heart while I asked for “11:11” to be machine-engraved, additionally — a symbol with significance for both of us. It also goes well with our matching wrist tattoos!
